Alan Dawson
(he/him)

I have been a regular member of MENtal Health for eighteen months. I first came along to the group to explore ways to bolster my own mental health/ wellbeing after struggling with debilitating anxiety in the past. The group received me warmly and provided me with a safe place to connect and feel comfortable enough to talk through my emotions. They supported me and listened to me without judgement, as I slowly put my life back into context – for this I will always be grateful.

As the new facilitator of MENtal Health, I want to move forward with the group, thereby consolidating the key conversational aspects of MENtal Health and to reach out to others through engaging activities.

If I was asked to say something that I liked best about MENtal Health I would reply, I never come away from a meeting without learning something new and interesting about another member of the group… or about myself.
