Perimenopause: Navigating hormone mayhem with food

  • Elephant Rooms South Street Derby, England, DE72 3PP United Kingdom (map)

Has something changed with your body, your health or your cycle and you just can’t quite put your finger on what? It’s possible you might be perimenopausal.
Perimenopause is the period leading up to menopause in which your hormones begin to fluctuate, leading to a variety of symptoms and often irregular cycles. It can last anything up to 10 years prior to the menopause itself.
In this workshop we’ll look at what’s going on with your hormones compared to your usual cycle and how those changes can lead to symptoms and effects in the body. Importantly, we’ll look at how you can support your body during this period, using specific foods and nutrients to support the production of hormones, helping to keep you more balanced.
We’ll also look at what to expect when you finally transition from peri- to postmenopause - with more on this in the nutrition for postmenopause workshop!
This workshop takes place at the beautiful Elephant Rooms in Draycott - a relaxing, welcoming place. Tickets are limited due to space available so book early to secure your place. Drinks, refreshments and handouts are included in the ticket price of £25.
