Each month, on the 4th Tuesday of the month, 5.30 – 7pm, we are holding a Reiki share. This is open to anyone that already has some training, with all with levels 1 through to master level welcome.
It’ll be a chance to refresh your skills, practice, share techniques and also receive reiki. It will also be lovely to meet other reiki practitioners and support one another locally. 🙌✨️
Fran Smith from QiTransitions will be holding the space for everyone. We’ll start with a gentle meditation to get us in the mood, and then give and receive reiki to one another. Mindfulness Meditation & More
Join Fran from QiTransitions for the final mindfulness meditation session of the year. As we move towards the winter solstice, this meditation evening will focus our energy on the pause at the turn of the wheel. We will have two quiet, gentle meditations.
First of all, reflecting on the year past, we’ll let things go that are now complete allowing space for new things coming into our life.
At this time of year it’s important to build up our energy rather than use it, so our second meditation will allow us to breath, pause and have some peace to recharge, so will be a slow, peaceful meditation.

This will be a beautiful afternoon with the opportunity to give back to oneself. We will start with a restorative yoga practice starting by laying down inviting mind and body to feel more relaxed. Along the way bringing some calming breathing exercises. We will playfully explore with some very gentle yoga moves allowing a natural release.
We will then move gently back down to earth for a Reiki Drum Journey/meditation. You may also (if you like) receive one to one Reiki Drum healing.
Reiki is a system of natural healing. Reiki is a non- invasive therapy and can be used along with other therapies. There will be sweet treats at the end of the session to ground you.

As you step over the threshold into Circle space, you will have a sense of leaving the outside world at the door. You will be met with a warm welcome as you enter the space. Your senses will be met with evocative music and the smell of essential oils fragrancing the air.
As women, we often wear various masks and play diverse roles, absorbing the energies of those around us. Circle serves as a sacred space where you can shed those masks, release the roles, and leave behind the energies you've been carrying for others. It's a place to be witnessed exactly as you are, free from judgment, without any attempts to 'fix' you. We don't offer advice; instead, we trust that each woman present is the heroine of her own story.
In a world where spaces for women to retreat, be nourished, and experience collective care are scarce, Circle stands out as a rare sanctuary.
The structure of my Circles is straightforward:
1 I introduce myself.
2 I invite you to introduce yourself.
3 There will be some poetry.
4 Meditation follows.
5 An opportunity for open sharing.
6 The Circle gently closes.

As we travel through darker, colder days and nights nature reminds us to let go and trust the natural rhythm of the seasons; the darkness is just as important as the light. We need both, just like the sun and the moon. One cannot exist without the other.
Equally, when it comes to self love, it important to learn to love and accept even the parts of us we may dislike, resist or neglect. It is important to recognise our own shadows and how they serve our growth and development.
This retreat creates space for you acknowledge the dark and light within you, through self love and self compassion.
Quite often in the modern world our yin (receiving, feminine energy) and yang (giving, masculine energy) is out of balance.
Winter Balm Making Workshop
Come and enjoy learning about using essential oils to support the immune system, throughout the winter months.

Perimenopause: Navigating hormone mayhem with food
Has something changed with your body, your health or your cycle and you just can’t quite put your finger on what? It’s possible you might be perimenopausal.
Perimenopause is the period leading up to menopause in which your hormones begin to fluctuate, leading to a variety of symptoms and often irregular cycles. It can last anything up to 10 years prior to the menopause itself.
In this workshop we’ll look at what’s going on with your hormones compared to your usual cycle and how those changes can lead to symptoms and effects in the body. Importantly, we’ll look at how you can support your body during this period, using specific foods and nutrients to support the production of hormones, helping to keep you more balanced.
We’ll also look at what to expect when you finally transition from peri- to postmenopause - with more on this in the nutrition for postmenopause workshop!

This session may be of particular interest to those who have tried (and struggled) to connect with regular mindfulness and meditation practices. On Saturday 28th September, Fran from QiTransitions will be leading 5 different sessions for you to explore.
10.00 – 11.00 There’ll be a Kundalini Yoga class, suitable for absolute beginners, giving us a gentle introduction to the day.
11.15 – 12.15. Come and learn some Japanese Do-In, waking up our meridians with a set of 5 exercises, alongside a routine of gentle self-massage, brushing and body awareness.
12.20 – 1.00 We’ll round off the morning with a Guided meditation focussing on IKIGAI, our reason for being.
Lunch time (Lunch not provided).
1.30 – 2.45 We’ll start the afternoon with a more general Kundalini Yoga class. Beginners are welcome alongside more experienced yogis. We’ll just adapt your postures depending on your ability and how much you’d like to do. This kundalini class will include asana’s, a kriya and some breathwork.
3.00 – 4.30 Rounding off the day, we’ll have an Inner Dance session. Whilst lying or sitting, we’ll use a wide range of music to evoke and stir up any lingering heaviness and internal toxins, allowing us to let go and clear from our bodies and energy.

Restorative Yoga and Reiki Drum Journey/Meditation Afternoon with Elaine
This will be a beautiful afternoon with the opportunity to give back to oneself. We will start with a restorative yoga practice starting by laying down inviting mind and body to feel more relaxed. Along the way bringing some calming breathing exercises. We will playfully explore with some very gentle yoga moves allowing a natural release.
We will then move gently back down to earth for a Reiki Drum Journey/meditation. You may also (if you like) receive one to one Reiki Drum healing.
Reiki is a system of natural healing. Reiki is a non- invasive therapy and can be used along with other therapies. There will be sweet treats at the end of the session to ground you.

Women’s Circle and EcoNIDRA
As you step over the threshold into Circle space, you will have a sense of leaving the outside world at the door. You will be met with a warm welcome as you enter the space. Your senses will be met with evocative music and the smell of essential oils fragrancing the air.
As women, we often wear various masks and play diverse roles, absorbing the energies of those around us. Circle serves as a sacred space where you can shed those masks, release the roles, and leave behind the energies you've been carrying for others. It's a place to be witnessed exactly as you are, free from judgment, without any attempts to 'fix' you. We don't offer advice; instead, we trust that each woman present is the heroine of her own story.
In a world where spaces for women to retreat, be nourished, and experience collective care are scarce, Circle stands out as a rare sanctuary.
The structure of my Circles is straightforward:
1 I introduce myself.
2 I invite you to introduce yourself.
3 There will be some poetry.
4 Meditation follows.
5 An opportunity for open sharing.
6 The Circle gently closes.

A Yoga Workshop Focusing on Hope
This workshop will have a specific focus on hope, and the ability to be hopeful.
Hope is more of a trait than an emotion & this enables us to “tap’ into other traits/emotions such as optimism, faith & resilience. For some of us, it will be easier to access these emotions than for others, however we can develop/improve our ability with practice.
Over time we may find that we can access more positive feelings than negative ones which are always beneficial to our wellbeing. Yoga reinforces all of these concepts in its teachings & gives us the tools to navigate challenging times. This seems all the more relevant with everything that is going on in the World right now, it can be so easy to feel hopeless so accessing these teachings is such a powerful gift.
During the session we will explore all of these themes using Asana, Meditation & Pranayama with the aim of feeling much more in control of our emotions by the end.

An Afternoon of Yin Yoga
A Workshop specifically designed for those students who are interested in Yin Yoga and Daoism. The Dantians have roots in both Daosim and Buddhism.
During the session session, we will explore how focusing on the Dantians (energy storehouses) can enable us to feel a little more balanced and supported. They are said to “store” or “contain” our energetic selves and translate as “fields or elixir”.
The Dantians link into our physical selves, our emotional/empathetic selves and also our spiritual selves. Similar but not similar to the Chakra system. Their location is in the Taji Pole (loosely the spine).
As with all of the Yin practices the aim is to cultivate and conserve our energy, and to have balance. During the afternoon as well as the Yin yoga postures we will be using meditation, and guided imagery with breath work to tap into these beautiful ‘fields of energy”. Hopefully leaving you with a sense of calmness.
The workshop will not be suitable for beginners to yoga. Mats, blankets etc are available at the Elephant Rooms but you may wish to bring your own
